Yes – soccer continues! We’ve had so many cancelations due to rain that we might be playing in May!
After today’s game – we all hung out and played for a bit.
When we got home the kids went for a bike ride. Conlee has finally gotten big enough to ride her tricycle. She can fly on this thing. I’ll have to post video of her riding and ringing her bell!
The kids and I spent the entire morning watching every single minute of coverage of the Royal Wedding. I was so surprised that they were into it as much as they were. At one point, Crawford was walking down the hall and stopped in his tracks to stare at a picture. It was of me and Bo on our wedding day. Crawford looked at me in astonishment, “Mom – I didn’t know you were a princess too!” Best thing ever.
After nap, Sue-Sue and I took the kids to the Walton Arts Center to see Thomas the Train. I am so thankful that we live in a city where you can experience fun things like this!
It really was a great show. The kids loved it.
After it was over – Sue-Sue dropped me at a party where Bo was waiting for me. She took the kids home. Bo and I laughed that we’d go to a lot more parities if they all were from 4:00 – 6:00 :)
It finally happened – Conlee has started playing with her dolls!
I caught her in her room reading to Baby (yes this is the doll’s name). It wasn’t long before Crawford joined in! Conlee was the Mommy, Crawford was the Daddy.
They read to her; took her to Toys R Us (aka – the den); went to the park (aka the dining room); fed her; and then put her to bed.
Right when I was smiling and loving how adorable this entire thing was – Conlee dropped to her knees and started barking. That quickly she went from Mommy to doggy. Crawford even put a leash (aka his belt) on her!
My office was closed today, but the kids’ school was open. That’s what I call a holiday :) But around 2:30ish I got a call that they were closing school because of flooding. Sure enough – you could barely get out of my neighborhood. I’ve never experienced a flash flood. So scary.
The kids acted AMAZED that EB actually brought them stuff in their baskets. All Crawford would say is, “Look Con! Look Con! Look at this Con!”

Too bad it was still raining after church. Look closely at Bo’s pants and Dad’s coat – they were drenched.
So we hid eggs inside. I’d told J-J to count so that we wouldn’t loose a boiled one in the house!
But, when we were finished – we were 2 short. Bet we’ll smell those in a few days.
Look at the bunny cake Sue-Sue made the kids. So cute and so yummy!

Easter is my 2nd favorite holiday! So thankful for Jesus' blessings!
Too bad it started raining AGAIN today. it just won’t stop. But the kids didn’t seem to mind. They put on their gear and played all afternoon.
The adults weren’t going to let rain cancel the planned fish fry. We put Pops’ cooker under the patio and away he fried :) So, so good!
Before bed, the kids had to put their baskets and some carrots out for EB!
EB didn’t fail to deliver! I was so happy with the way the baskets looked. He did a great job :)
My favorite part – the sugared eggs from Dinstuhil’s. These were always in my Easter basket! Thanks Babe for bringing them.
This morning Babe came over and we had a blast with the kids. Babe gave Conlee one of my old rings. She LOVES it. She’s so beautiful in her ring and bracelet. Such a little girl.
This prompted an immediate call to play dress up. Don’t think I ever posted a pic of how Bo and I transformed the armoire in Crawford’s room to be the dress up closet? We love it. The kids decided to be Razorbacks!
Then it was time to get messy and dye eggs!
So pleased with how they turned out!
