VBS

Cole invited Crawford to join him at Vacation Bible School tonight! It's so great because their church has it at night - so everyone can come. Kyle was very "brave" as he volunteered to take both boys. Here they are loaded in the back of Kyle's truck. Crawford was so excited.Bo and I died laughing when we realized that it was 9:00 on a Friday night and we were home, but our 2 year old was still out! They pulled in about 9:15 and were hopped up on popsicles! Crawford is normally lights out at 7:50, so I was a little scared that he'd be grumpy.

Kyle said he did great. He even got to see a puppet show and the bonus was that Lu-Lu was there! Before going to bed, he wanted to eat some chips and tell me all about it. Here he is with the seed they planted.

Thanks Kyle for your bravery and letting Crawford join. I can guarantee I'll hear one million times, "I wanna go to Vacation Bible School again. I DDDDDOOOO!!!!"

T-minus...

We are on the final days of our count down to the beach! Of course, Conlee had to get a pedicure before the big trip. She "chose" an adorable shade of frosted bubble gum pink. I could eat everyone of those precious little painted toenails.
For those of you who know Bo, I had to promise not to let it "chip" because we all know he has an issue with that!

Baby got a new pair of shoes!

Sue-Sue bought Conlee this adorable pair of jelly flip-flops (they have sequins on them). As you can see, she's a big fan!
Crawford wasn't ready for Conlee to go to bed, so they got some last minute cuddle time.

Or should I say wrestling time?

Pantry Raid

Today started off so "normal." I got some work done and Crawford "told" Conlee that they were going to read. Cracked me up how serious he was. Note -the dark spot on his pj's is syrup from his waffles. I caught him drinking it out of the bowl!

Then it was time to get dressed and head to WM (this should be our last trip before we leave for vacation). Crawford INSISTED that they both wear their Crocs.
Crawford looks JUST like Bo did in his baby pics. And since Con looks like Crawford...still wondering where I fit in this? Con at least has blue eyes.

As I opened the garage to load up - there was a baby turtle right behind my rear tire. I thought Crawford would love it - but he hated it (and so did I). I had to get our neighbor's yard guy to come and move it. Since then, Crawford has asked "Where'd turtle go?" a thousand times! I've been meaning to post that Crawford "broke free" last week - he figured out how to open all doors. Last Wednesday I couldn't find him - and low and behold he was in the garage. So, we've made it a point to keep the laundry room door shut (child proof) and dead bolt all other out door locks.

Well, when we got home from WM, I went to potty (really couldn't have been gone for 1 1/2 min total) and came back to find this...
Crawford had broken into the pantry and dumped season salt everywhere! He also had chips and cookies out. So, here is the one parenting thing I NEVER thought I would do. I took the "lock" off of our bathroom door and put it on the pantry!!!!!
Seriously, I think the pantry is a bigger "risk" for us at this point!

After a serious, time out and a fun afternoon, Daddy came home and we had a dance party before bed (I loaded up the ipod with "fun" workout music for our trip). This is Crawford and Bo break dancing.

I also had to post about how much I LOVE their school. It's amazing. This is what Conlee brought home yesterday. She painted her very own onesie! Adorable.

The Rogers come for Dinner!

Tonight was "my night" to take dinner to the Rogers. But, we changed it up a bit. The whole Rogers clan came to our house instead. Of course, since it is a "work" night - I made everything last night so all we had to do was re-heat.

I wish I could describe just how loud it was in our house. You'd think Crawford and Cole hadn't seen each other in YEARS! When in fact, they'd been at school together all day. They had a blast banging the 2 dump trucks into each other. Believe it our not, the 2 babies didn't make a peep the whole night!

Typically, Crawford didn't eat a bite (he did eat the bread and dessert of course). Cole was so cute telling him, "Sit down Frawford."
Conlee was pretty excited to have so many people to check out.
Cade is getting so big! I swear he changes every week. He's still got that gorgeous hair and wonderful complexion.
Here are my first attempts at getting the first (of many) pics of the 4 of them together. Let's just say - it's not an easy task!
I really love each and every one of these kids to pieces! Amanda - thanks for getting the gang out in the rain. It was definitely a circus - but so much fun! Tell Cole that I can't wait for the day that he gets to spend the night!

Pigging Out!

So, I haven't blogged a lot about it - but Conlee is still having "issues" in the eating/weight category. I've been weighing her weekly and she has not been meeting the 1/2 oz. a day goal Dr. Jackson set for her. So, on Thursday, Bo took her in for a "check."

Doc said she is just destined to be petite - but she is perfect. He went ahead and did her 9 month check-up so we don't have to go back until she's a year old! She's in the less than 3rd percentile for weight and the 25th percentile for height. She's "advanced" in her motor skills in that she's already crawling. We've got to continue feeding her the liquid gold formula, but we got the green light to feed her anything else.

So, today we made a trip to the grocery store and loaded up on all of the crazy #2 baby foods that Gerber has to offer. Turns out Conlee may be a meat fan. Grosses me out just to type it! Crawford wouldn't touch the stuff. But, this is how Conlee looked after mowing down a whole jar of chicken with vegetables... She still acted hungry (note - this is AFTER eating 5 oz of formula). So here's what she looked like after eating a whole jar of baby yogurt...I think chubby, wonderful thighs are in our future. Guarantee this is the only time in a girl's life where chubby thighs are coveted!

Do I have something on my face?

Yesterday's "City" was such a success - that this morning, Crawford wanted to "draw s'more Momma." So, we went with the ocean theme (again, really getting excited about out trip to the beach). We had a pirate ship, an island with a treasure chest, a really good pirate complete with peg leg and hook hand (thanks to guest artist Daddy), fish, octopus, etc.

Again, a HUGE thanks to Crayola for non-toxic products. Conlee really enjoys "helping" and before I knew it - she was completely eating the marker! I laughed so hard.
Believe it or not - Crawford did not intentionally draw on himself. This is the result of not re-capping the markers and crawling all over the paper.

So, I may have laughed too hard when Conlee had marker on her face. Because later today, I heard crying in her room and this is what I found...

Honestly, Crawford held her down and drew on her face. Nice!
Apparently, I've done a great job of getting him excited (aka worked up) over our upcoming trip. So to stop the constant "I wanna go beach Momma. When we go beach Momma?" We made a count down calendar.I'll admit - I'm looking forward to pulling off each day till we get to ZERO!

I like gelato Momma!

Crawford is so excited that the "mini" version of the Market opened on the corner right up from our house (his Mom is pretty jazzed too)!

We Built this City

Yesterday, Crawford got a "surprise" at WM - a set of Matchbox cars - a firetruck, police car, ambulance and garbage truck. So - for this morning's "project" I decided we'd build some roads for him to drive on. This turned into a much bigger, much more fun project! We actually drew a city. Crawford told me what he wanted and where he wanted it.
In the pic above, he's using his firetruck to save the house that's on fire.
Conlee was right in the middle of us (have I mentioned how much I love that she is getting "big" enough to play?). Thank you Crayola for non-toxic, washable markers.

This is Crawford drawing his "baseball game."
We had to add on a subdivision - he wanted so much stuff in his city. The below is priceless! Crawford wanted his city to have: a golf course, Daddy's work (a bank), a McDonald's, a baseball game, a school, a firehouse, an ocean with boat and fish, and a recycling center (I swear he asked for this).
No - your eyes aren't playing tricks on you - and no - I did not tape it to her head - Conlee has a bow in her hair! When I got her dressed, Crawford said she was pretty and he wanted her to wear a bow. So - I grabbed the 3 "longer" hairs and it actually worked.
While there's not a lot of hair there - it's way more than what was there 2 weeks ago! Crawford yelled, "My turn." So we got a group pic. They look so much alike to me.

4th of July???? Again????

Crawford found the left-over fireworks in the garage last night and he "demanded" that we light them. It was so fun! Conlee loved it. I am sure our neighbors thought we were nuts.
We did lots of smoke bombs, snakes and parachutes. Nothing too big!
He's gotten so brave and he LOVES the poppers. We went through 3 boxes.
It's amazing how much fun you can have when you let your 2 year old set the evening's agenda!

Tree House Picnic

After a fun morning at the park, Cole invited Crawford and Conlee over for a picnic lunch - in his tree house! It was impossible to get a pic of all 3 of them looking.Of course, Crawford didn't eat much - he just wanted to play. Conlee had her first strawberries and loved them.Cracked me up that they loved the "big" tree house, but still wanted to play in the "baby" one. Thanks Amanda and Cole for such a fun lunch (delish too)!
Conlee is such a "tough" little one. At school they told me she hit her head almost 10 times yesterday and never once made a peep. Here she is wrestling with Crawford in the kitchen. Again - not a peep out of her. She's going to be tough as nails.
Conlee getting some "quality" reading time in.
