Happy Memorial Day

Memorial Day was actually a bit overcast which was perfect because it gave me an “out” for not going to the pool.  Instead, I FINALLY finished planting all of my pots and getting the backyard “summer” ready.

Couldn’t have been better timing because we had the entire family over for Pops’ ribs!

The kids played in their new dragon pool all afternoon.  The best money we’ve spent for sure :)

As always  - the food was amazing.  Some of Pops’ best ribs – ever!

Pool Time

While Bo got in a much deserved 18 holes, the rest of us hit the pool.  This was the “first” pool trip of the season.  The kids loved it (the setting didn’t hurt)!

 

Pops was a trooper.  While his external drain kept him out of the water – he loved playing in the hot tub (which was not heated) with the kids.

After golfing, Bo got there in time for a little pool time.  Love the kids floats from Target!

Pops fried fish for dinner – it was amazing!

You could tell it was time to go when Conlee started using Crawford’s float as a nap mat!

So thankful to be able to have such fun times with my family!

Babe & Pops are here!

The Memorial Day festivities kicked off with Babe & Pops arriving at 10:30 (do the math – it’s a 5 hour drive!).  After nap, we broke out our new water toy – a hit!

 

Oh how I love the pic below – she is Pops’ girl.

I served up a feast.  Shrimp with green goddess; wild mushroom risotto, sautéed chicken and asparagus!

Conlee loved the green goddess!

Sad, but precious – Pops didn’t even realize that he gave the kids the Gator for Christmas (he was in the hospital).  He got a kick out of how much they enjoy it.  Crawford has figured out how to reverse – so they go everywhere!

Gulley Park Concert Series!

Tonight kicked of the premiere of the Gulley Park concert series – one of my favorite Fayetteville traditions.  We met the Rogers and had a great time!

It’s quite the eclectic crowd!

 

Was scared it would be an early night when this is what Con was doing at 7:00!  But, she rebounded nicely.

 

Bo and Crawford playing catch.  I love that they could do this for hours.

Cade is crawling everywhere.  Con and Cade crack me up!
