A great project

Thankfully Bo didn’t have to tee off till noon today – so we slept a bit and got the kids around 10ish.  The “scary” part of yesterday is Sue-Sue said she thought Con had a fever and gave her some Tylenol.  Totally thought my day was sunk.  But, she rebounded and I dropped her as I ran for the pool.  Well, when she woke this a.m. – fever was back Sad smile

So – we had a low key day.

We did our toes.

By 5ish we were restless.  Even Con (who thanks to the fever we had to bow out of a pool invite) was ready to do something.  So, thanks to my new found love of Pintress – I’d seen cute things to paint with kids…so let the project begin.

Love.Love.Love.  Planning to frame these.  Sometimes the cutest projects just come up!

Below is the “unsupervised” version Smile

While I would have loved to be at the pool…it was a somewhat low-key day.  And after 2 late nights…Momma really needed that!

The Best of Both Worlds

The thing I’ll never get about golf tournaments is why tee times are so early after the BIG parties.  I’ll admit Bo had to drag me off the dance floor Friday night – he had a 7:08 tee time.  There’s real $ in this thing so I’m glad he’s focused.

I picked the kids up around 9 ish (after watching Hall Pass because those of you that know me – when I’m up – I’m up!).  They were dog tired after a late night of their own (rockin it till 10) – so we made a pallet and watched Rango.

While I was telling the in-laws about last night they asked what people did today.  I explained there’s a pool party and then a bunch of folks were going to eat.  My father-in-law said, “Well bring the kids back when they get up from nap and we’ll keep them so you guys can go have fun!”  I almost fainted.  Priceless.

Once again, J-J went above and beyond…after a great “adult” day at the pool – he even came and dropped us off at Bordino’s.

Look who the backseat driver was…

Crawford got a kick out of taking Mommy and Daddy on a date.  We had an AMAZING time with old and new friends.  So thankful for this special time with my amazing hubby.

FCC 4 Ball!

Bo and I each look forward to the FCC 4 Ball golf tournament.  It really is like a college reunion as a ton of our best (and oldest) friends come to town.  The party Friday night is legendary.  J-J and Sue-Sue stepped and kept the kids at their house.  J-J even went the extra mile and dropped us off (one of the perks is drivers for a safe ride home!).

Will say we might need to work on J-J’s picture taking skills – as Bo’s head is chopped off in the pics below Smile

It’s so hot…

…you’ve got no choice but to be in the water!  I’ll never get tired of hearing screams and giggles as they play together.  While I am OVER the heat – it sure is summer when you are a kid running through a sprinkler!

Tried not to “laugh” at this – but they were washing their “bottoms”!

Now time to wash their hair.

The Naturals

My most “liked” post ever on Facebook is below…

1

…Con looked so cute in her Lilly top – that I had to snap a pic on the way to school.  After school the kids were so excited to go to the Naturals game.  And yes – it was 106 outside.  But, we were so lucky.  Amanda invited us to sit in her brother’s box!

We tried to sit with the “common” folks to eat dinner – but there were bees everywhere!

So upstairs we headed Smile

Love the pic of Crawford below.  The kid LOVES baseball.  Look how intense he was!

The thing about going with the Rogers is that Cole HATES Strike.  He wore his Batman mask to protect him.  How smart is that?

Crawford and Cole insisted we go get in on the whiffle ball game.  But, not before a few runs through the cool down mister.

Love.Love.Love. Pig tails from the back!

And yes, Cole wore the Batman mask (just in case we saw Strike).  Both Crawford and Cole got a hit!

Crawford played outfield while Cole ran the bases!

And then it was Con’s turn to hit!

We had a great night – there was even a “little” breeze outside.  But, then Strike made it around to each of the boxes.  He jumped the rail to get in the box we were in!  Crawford, Ray-Ray and Ju-Ju – so excited.  Cole, Cade and Conlee – not so much.

It was 9:00 and really time to go – so that was the perfect way to make our exit.

A BIG thank you to the girls, who like always were amazing sitters.  An even bigger thank you to Amanda and Trey – we had a blast!
