Snow - really????

So, the weather man said snow - but I have long since decided not to believe them. But, we woke up to roof tops covered with snow! It was only supposed to last through the morning. But, it's 3:00 and it is still coming down hard. Didn't I just post this week that it felt like spring?!?!
Mouth opened, trying to taste the snow.

Yesterday was "laundry day." So, when Crawford and I went in to get Conlee up from her nap - he climbed on the side of the crib to see her. I asked if he wanted to get in with her - he looked really puzzled but yelled - YEAH!!!! They both had so much fun. I have pictures of me in Matt's crib. I hope they look back on these and get an idea of just how much fun they had together.

Crawford insisted that they have "coverrrrsss" on them. Is it just me - or do they really look alike in this pic?

He went so far as to roll over and get really comfy! He then would spring up and yell, "I woke up!"

It Feels Like Spring

We took advantage of the awesome weather today. Crawford finally got to play with his sand/water table (sans water today) that Sue-Sue and J-J gave him for his birthday. He loves it.
Wrigley loved the attention and I am sad to say that I think it might be the first time he's met Conlee?!?! Of course, he loved her and kept circling around the table. He finally laid down right underneath her.

I trimmed back all of the monkey grass and have a blister on my thumb. I know my thighs will let me hear from them in the morning!

All in all - it was an AWESOME day and makes me really look forward to spring. But, my neighbor just told me the Farmer's Almanac predicted this last ice storm and that it says there will be another one in March! Say it ain't so!!!!!

Crawford trying to hug Wrigley! Wrigley is 13 years old - but is so good with Crawford.

NOTE: I really can't wait for Spring so that there will be green grass, pretty flowers and no dead leaves in my pics!

Conlee Talking

Conlee was really talking up a storm today - I caught a little bit on tape. She also rolled from her stomach to her back - but of course I didn't get that on tape!

Happy 2nd Birthday Crawford!

Today is Crawford's birthday! He was so confused because he thought Saturday was his birthday. We celebrated this morning before school.

Of course, pancakes with candles. Oh and the Cars pj's make it!

Babe and Pops came to celebrate before they got on the road home. We could not have pulled off the party without their help. We'll miss them a lot and can't wait for the next visit.

The workbench is still a big hit.

Watching Mickey with dad before getting dressed for school. Notice his Mickey car - he insisted on having it with him. Thanks Cole!

Pretty funny that neither of them would look at the camera. They both were watching Mickey.

Just in case anyone at school forgot it was his birthday!

Tool cookies for his classmates to take home as favors.

Tonight we opened a few presents and celebrated with a cupcake.

Why flip it over? Just climb on top.

He got monogrammed luggage for a present. He immediately asked for money to put in it; hopped on his tractor; and said bye-bye. Isn't he too young to want to leave home already?

A year ago today...Two years ago today...
Time goes by too quickly. We need to be sure we take the time to appreciate each day we have with our children. We love you Crawford and thank God for blessing us with you!

Construction Party!

We celebrated Crawford's 2nd Birthday with a "struction" (construction) themed party at our house yesterday. The kids had a blast building and painting. Thanks to all of our friends and family for celebrating with us!Crawford enjoyed making his hat fall off by running really fast!

The dump truck cake turned out so cute!

Conlee made her "debut" and joined us for a few minutes.
Babe and Pops gave Crawford a new work bench. He LOVES the drill and saw.

With a February birthday - you can never count on the weather - so I had to come up with an "indoor" activity. Mom and I built a "house" out of an appliance box (free from Lowes) and let the kids go at it with paints, markers and stickers (all washable thanks to Crayola).

Bo's old t-shirts were our aprons.

Cole worked on the interior.

Crawford painted this entire side himself! He LOVED it.
Cole's cousins - Rachel and Julia -helped supervise the painting. They were a HUGE help!
He got a little embarrassed when we sang Happy Birthday.

Hudson gave him "Mack" from Cars - he hasn't stopped playing with it.
It's never too cold for boys. Crawford got a set of clubs - and they all headed outside to hit a few balls.
He loves his new scooter.
The "finished" house!
Before going to bed - he had to blow his candles out one more time (of course mom helped blow them out).
