The ice storm

Bo called me Monday afternoon and told me to get some "supplies" ready because they were saying we were going to get "some" ice. Well - that is an understatement. I had candles, blankets, etc. - but nothing could have prepared us for the amount of ice. We lost power Tuesday at 10 am and got it back on Sunday at 9 am. Below are pics of our house.
You literally can't see the house because the ice is so thick in the trees.

Poor Wrigley - his dog house is under this pile of ice!

We still aren't sure - but think a few of these made contact with the house.

Hard to tell, but yes - the fence is down.

Thank goodness for Sue-Sue! We spent Tuesday night at her house (without power but she had food) and when we went to Twist - she took care of the house. She emptied the fridge and freezers and cleaned up much of the mess. She saved the house plants and she tackled her biggest fear and fed and watered Wrigley! Susan, Mary and Harrison were also a big help. They took care of the dog and helped keep us up to date on "Power Watch 2009." A big thanks to all of them for helping us through this.
