You think Santa might should have brought them new robes for Christmas? Both are sized 6-12 mth :)

Bone Scan
Amanda is just one of those thoughtful people you feel blessed to have in your life. In preparation for a long day at the hospital tomorrow – she and Cole dropped off a busy bag for Crawford!
Cole drew him a picture so he’d feel better. It’s our first official “poster” in Crawford’s room!
The scan is a 2 part thing. You get the radio active shot and take a scan; wait hours and then do another scan. Bo and I were both amazed by how brave Crawford was. He didn’t even cry when they brought out the HUGE needle (even watched them insert it). He also didn’t shed a tear when he was wrapped to a board and inserted into the tube. The kid was AMAZING – and I’m so glad. I was terrified that it was going to be torture.
He got so comfy when they did the full body scan that he fell asleep! So proud of my brave little guy!

All dolled up
The kids looked so cute in their “church” clothes this morning that I just had to take a pic. Love, love, love Con’s dress that Babe gave her!

I’m Home
Bo treated the kids to breakfast at McDonald’s. To say that he’s ready for me to be home is putting it mildly! I think I need to get away more often :)
It was so pretty today, that after nap – we bundled up and headed to Gulley. It was a bit tricky pushing the jogging stroller – but it felt so good just to move. We headed to the playground and the kids had so much fun. Crawford said, “I’ve really missed this place.”
I’m going to try not to sound too rude, but apparently there were some people who successfully made snowmen with this snow. They were everywhere. The main reason Crawford wanted to build one in the first place was so he could knock it down. So – that’s what we did. They had so much fun – sending the snow flying!
Since Momma was home, we had an extra special treat – MOVIE NIGHT. We made a pallet in the den (using every single pillow in our house). We watched Despicable Me – it was great.
Feels so good to be home and know that my dad is doing great and that my gang is doing great!

Snowman
Here it is, the post surgery look. It’s a bit hard to tell – but MAN – it’s such a difference! Also, what a blessing that the other pic is of my dad up walking the halls! So thankful that he’s feeling so good.
On the home front, the kids just kept asking to build a snowman. Apparently the snow just wasn’t “good” for building – so they made a baby snowman. Sorry Bo, but it’s the strangest thing I’ve ever seen. Zoom in – the eyes are cheeseballs (thanks Sue-Sue) with the carrot nose –it’s just all wrong :)
Then there was more sledding. I was a bit alarmed to see Conlee going by herself – but Bo assured me she loved it.
Apparently Con couldn’t stand for Crawford to be the only one hurt. She fell of a bar stool. Has a huge goose egg on her forehead to show for it.
I’m headed home tomorrow and can’t wait. I hope there’s enough snow left for us to play in!

I <3 my iPhone
What did we do in hospital waiting rooms before we had iPhones? We had to be at the hospital at 5:00 am (which meant a wake up call of 3:30!). Matt and I spent all day with our heads in our phones. My favorites: FB (of course), Angry Birds (just discovered), and Family Feud (which we let others waiting join in on).
It also let me keep up with my kiddos at home. J-J and Sue-Sue were on duty to watch them Wednesday and Friday, but got to add today as well due to the snow! Man, I’ll owe them BIG time. 3 days with my kids wears me out!
Below are shots that they sent throughout the day.
The kids discovering the snow outside. Crawford was excited that it covered the grass.
Bo had to take Crawford to the orthopedic doc – to check out his leg that he’s continuing to limp on. They took x-rays and ordered a bone scan for Monday :(
But, his leg didn’t stop him from wanting to get in some snow time! I’m so sad I missed the first true snow day.
Bo put them to work shoveling the drive!
Check out the rosy red cheeks!
It finally started snowing in Memphis (shot outside of hospital below). Thankfully dad’s surgery wasn’t near as complicated as they’d anticipated. So, we got him settled in a room and headed back across the bridge before they shut it down. We did have our priorities right, because we stopped at Pancho’s for an early dinner before heading to the farm.
The kids ready for bed. I miss them so much – but I know they are having so much fun.

NEA
Today I made the long 5 hour trip to Northeast Arkansas to be with my family (dad is having surgery tomorrow). I grew up here – but having lived in the hills for the past 16 years – it still surprises me each time I drive along the flat, farm roads.
I had to stop the car and snap the pic below. Literally, millions of geese. You see what looks like snow in the background? No, that’s more geese. Crazy.
I’ve told many of you about dad’s hernia that looks like a football (that’s what he’s having repaired tomorrow). Tonight I got him to show it off. Look at that! Can you imagine how uncomfortable that must be. Prayers being said that all goes well and we say goodbye to the football tomorrow!

I’m Batgirl!
As some of you know, we’ve been having a very hard time with Conlee and her sleep habits. She’s waking up at 5:00 am and is ready to get out of bed. So, before Christmas, I told her if she’d stay in bed and lay quietly until Mommy came to get her in the mornings – Santa would bring her a dolly house. Worked like a charm…that is until December 26 when she had the dang dolly house.
Since then I’ve tried to bribe her with other things; threaten to take away things – you name it – I’ve tried it.
Then it hit me – I was trying to parent my 2 year old the way I do my 4 year old. It obviously wasn’t working. What motivates a 2 year old – stickers! So we made a sleep chart.
This morning Con successfully completed her chart!
I’d promised a “surprise” and I TOTALLY forgot about it all day at work. So tonight the kids (yes Crawford was a big help in as the motivator) asked where her surprise was. Thank goodness that after Halloween I’d picked up a costume at WM that I hadn’t given her.
She LOVED it! Wore it all night and cried when she had to take it off for bath! She’s a hoot.
Of course, Crawford immediately wanted a chart of his own (this kid’s no dummy – charts = presents). So we made a handwriting chart for him. He immediately did 3 pages of his Spiderman book so he could get 3 stickers!
Here’s a BIG thank you to the power of Tinker Bell stickers!
