After church and nap, we treated the kids to a movie (it was Con’s first). We saw tangled. She LOVED it. Crawford got a bit scared in some parts – but I assured him it was a Disney movie – everything would work out. And imagine – that – it did! We’ll definitely be back to the Malco Razorback 6!

Hey, Hey – Ho, Ho – Arkansas to the Sugar Bowl!
Oh my goodness – can you believe it – the Razorbacks are going to the Sugar Bowl (well that is if Auburn can pull off a win).
It was so nice not to have to decorate today. We relaxed and enjoyed the day – and of course watched the Razorback game. During half time – Crawford had to show of his “Mallett” skills.
We had quite the treat for dinner. We started with a warmed goat cheese appetizer (which you can see Con loved).
Then Babe did it again – got the kids fired up before bed. She told them they could open a gift. Under the tree the dove looking for their names.
I know what you are thinking – presents already? Well – it was the Hallmark recordable Night Before Christmas audio books. She didn’t want to “waste” the entire season – she wanted them to get to enjoy them.
Did I mention a treat. We ate on the Christmas Spode.
Growing up, my parents always had friends over for this exact meal on these exact dishes. Shrimp in the pot and a nice green salad. Yum, yum.
Even Conlee approved.
Let’s sing Jingle Bells – I’m 100% in the Christmas spirit!

Gobble, Gobble
Happy Thanksgiving! Today is one of my FAVORITE days of the year, and I think this year was the best ever!
We knew we weren’t eating until 5:30 – so while mom and I were cooking yesterday, we whipped up an egg casserole for brunch. So literally, all in our pj’s – we watched the parade and had brunch. The kids were begging to go outside – but today it was FREEZING – so I needed a project. Native American headdresses it was.
How cute?
Did I mention it was cold? It actually snowed. Look closely – the white specs = snow.
The bad thing about the project – Conlee wouldn’t take it off.
Sue-Sue always hosts Thanksgiving – so we loaded our dishes up and headed over. Prior to overstuffing ourselves – we paused for some pics. I think they all turned out great.
Did I mention we had a lot of food? Good thing Mike and Brenda joined us!
Here’s my proud moment. The Caramel Italian Cream Cake.
A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!
This post wouldn’t be complete without me wishing my best friend in the world a happy birthday. Megan – I hope you had a great birthday. You definitely have much to be thankful for!

A Visit with Santa
Today, mom and I really spent all morning in the kitchen. We’ve made – sweet potatoes, squash casserole, lady peas, corn pudding, pecan pie, Italian caramel cake and – dressing! Our family goes a bit nuts when it comes to the dressing. My MeMaw did it best and each year we kill ourselves trying to recreate it.
The kids got to wash up and we put them to work. The helped crumble the corn bread and crackers for the base!
I finally got a much needed shower and we took the kids to see Santa. Let me tell you – early is the way to go. I mean – the trees are up – why not get the visit out of the way? There was literally no line. We stopped for a few pics (possible Christmas card?).
If you’ve seen my previous posts – I was terrified about how Con would do. She is NOT a fan of anything in costume (can you recall the Easter Bunny disaster). So, I’ve been explaining how he’s a nice man that brings PRESENTS. Well this kid is pretty sharp – because she quickly decided he was no longer “scary” and hopped on his lap with a smile. I broke all of the rules and snapped my own pic. I ended up with a great one of both of them.
Crawford asked for Rescue Heroes and Skechers. Conlee asked for a “baby house.”
The weather was so nice that we headed to the square to check out the lights.
Not much I can say about the pic below!
Tribute to the troops.
