Our weather men total missed the forecast for today. I’d planned for it to be another stuck in the house day – but it turned out to be warm and sunny. After hitting the gym – the entire family loaded up and went to the “big” WM. It’s weird – but it was actually fun??? The kids fell asleep on the way home – and didn’t even want to wake up to eat lunch. This is Crawford literally napping on the kitchen floor.
After nap, we went to visit Lu-Lu. Bless her heart, they’ve moved her to hospice. She’s had an infection (MRSA) so we haven’t been able to go visit for a week and a half. It’s amazing how quickly the mind and body can deteriorate. She did look pretty good, but all of the drugs and the cancer have her mind really messed up. She did love the flowers the kids took her. The kids loved playing the guitar and eating the cookies! It’s an amazing facility that truly humbles you when you enter the doors.
We then hit Sam’s – which of course was a lot of fun. The kids ended up having dinner there. The pizza is always a hit. For some reason Crawford decided he wanted to wear true boxers today. So, when I found him with his “tower” that was bigger than he is – I just had to document.
All in all, it was a beautiful, fun Saturday with the family. Tonight Bo grilled us some amazing soy-lime chicken and we are about to start watching Crazy Heart. I can’t remember the last time we sat down to watch a movie together. Hoping it lives up to it’s Oscar!
