So , I mentioned that I let this holiday sneak up on us. It’s the day before Easter and we hadn’t even dyed an egg! So, I broke out the gloves (in a vain attempt to try and prevent them from being blue and orange at Church). It’s amazing how much kids grow up an a year. Crawford really concentrated and was in to it.
In her defense, it was snack time – Conlee tried to eat the egg!
*NOTE: Yes Conlee has had yet another forehead injury (notice the knot on the left side of her head). She got hit in the head by a kid at school! This child is going to HAVE to wear bangs to cover up the scars!
After the hard “work” we were rewarded with a Pops’ breakfast (biscuits & gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage). I’ve never given Conlee anything like this – she was a fan (love the sausage). I guess this MAY pack a few pounds on her (at least I know it does to me!).
Mom, Matt and I ran errands all afternoon – Pops and Bo watched the kids. They let Conlee eat lunch at the bar. Why do I get the feeling the high chair is about to make an early retirement?
I’m so excited that tomorrow’s forecast is for it to be warm – so I’m breaking out the open-toed shoes. Before I do – I HAD to give myself a pedicure. Turns out Conlee wanted one too. She sat perfectly still and let me paint her piggys. I could eat each and everyone of them. For those of you who know Bo, he HATES feet and is completely grossed out that I have done this to his little girl.
Crawford and I made a quick get-away and hit a school friend’s birthday party at Fun City. It’s moved and it’s a gazillion times better. Matter of fact, Crawford pitched a FIT when I made him leave early. But, Pops was frying fish and I wasn’t going to miss it :)
How I missed getting pictures from tonight – I’ll never know. Pops hit a homerun with dinner. After they left – the Bunny stopped by. I LOVE putting together the baskets. Bo absolutely doesn’t get it. He doesn’t even think they should get “gifts” – just eggs. Clearly, I won this “battle”!
