Today was the start to the spring soccer league. Crawford got a huge surprise – Cole, Julian, Tagg and Hudson are all on his team this season!
Cade and Con eating on the sidelines!
So glad that Cole got to play this season. I don’t think he quit smiling for a second!
Today we officially started Conlee’s potty party (potty training). Thank goodness my mom came in town because I was sick as a dog. But, I had promised Con her big weekend – so the party was on!
I was amazed at how helpful Crawford was. He really cheered her on and helped her with her chart and other items.
We had great success with #1. The other, surely it will come soon :)
Today was a gorgeous day. The kids and I had our first picnic lunch of the year!
We ended up playing hide and seek. Thank goodness Conlee giggles a lot!
After nap we met the Rogers’ to feed the ducks. When I told Crawford where we were going – he said we needed to take flowers to Pappy and Lu-Lu. I shed a tear – because I was proud and sad at the same time.
Then it was on to the ducks. Con and Cade seemed to want to eat the bread themselves vs. feeding it to the ducks!
I wasn’t home long before Bo and I hit the road for Hot Springs. We met the Krauft’s, Wike’s, McClendon’s and Combs’ for a weekend at the races. We’ve all been friends for 16 years. It was almost a college reunion – so many people were at the races! I love these guys.
I spent this past week in Chicago (business not pleasure)! But one cool thing – seeing the river green.
Bo did his “job” and got the kids decked in their green for school. I’m so GLAD to be home!
Today we had a much needed “work day.” We started spring cleaning the backyard. We officially created what we are referring to as Toddler Village. The kids LOVE it!
Bare feet, popsicles, sidewalk chalk – I LOVE spring!
I love whenever our “projects” involve cooking. The kids love to help and they really do "learn” by helping me measure and count.
Green shamrock rice krispie treats – so fun and so good!
We officially took advantage of all of the free family events in NWA this weekend! Today we went to the FLW tournament weigh in.
The kids loved the fishing booth.
And the bounce houses.
Thank goodness my Mom reminded me that I forgot a huge part of Crawford’s birthday. The picture of him in his Daddy’s dress shirt. Can’t believe that sooner rather than later this will start to fit!
We took the kids to the Mardi Gras Parade on Dickson. I was a little worried – but this was a TOTAL family event. So much fun. Apparently the “adult” parade will be Fat Tuesday.
Crawford’s favorite float – the Pirates!
Stuck in the New Orleans vibe – Bo and I had shrimp and grits for dinner!
