Omaha: Day 1

So, I wasn’t there – so my comments are all 2nd hand.  All I do know, is it looks like a ton of fun.

I wasn’t there and I have chills.

Happy Birthday Cade (and Bo too!)

One sad thing about the boys being gone is that they had to miss Cade’s 1st birthday party (he turned 1 on the 17th).  I didn’t even tell Crawford because I knew he would be sad.  But those talkative boys – figured it out at school!

Today happens to also be Bo’s 36th birthday.  I told Crawford to tell his Daddy happy birthday this morning when we were on the phone.  He told him and said, “ I want to celebrate with you!”  I’ve gotten tons of adorable texts from their trip – so can’t wait to post some pics.

Cade’s party was AMAZING – it was a circus theme and Amanda went all out.  Check it out at www.doesntgetbetter.blogspot.com (it’s secure, so shoot her an e-mail if you need to be added to the list!).  Conlee got all decked out for the party!  She looked so cute, but man – dressing little girls can be exhausting.  Thankfully the leopard bow matched perfectly :)

After the party, Uncle Matt and Sue-Sue came to spend the night with Conlee and me :)  It got me thinking – I met Sue-Sue 15 years ago today – on Bo’s 21st birthday!!!!  We had on the exact same outfit (denim shirt, khaki shorts and LOTS of big silver jewelry!).  How lucky that I not only found the man of my dreams – but a wonderful set of in-laws!!!!!

As I’ve mentioned, Con is a tom-boy!  I had to shut Crawford’s door to keep her out of his fire trucks and Spiderman toys!  She finally discovered the basket full of toys in her room.

We’d been playing in her tent – and I found her with her baby dolls all lined up.  She looked like she was being the Mommy and taking care of them.

But, not long after these pictures – she broke into Crawford’s room; got the fire trucks and ran over all of the babies.  Honestly, I think she was playing “rescue!”
