Company for Dinner

J-J and Sue-Sue came over for dinner last night. It was such a treat to do something fun on a weeknight!Doesn't Sue look like she's a little worried about Crawford kissing Conlee????

Conlee's Funny Faces

It's amazing to me how quickly a 4-month old can change the look on her face.
"I think my mom is funny!"
"I don't know why she keeps looking at me?"

"That's right - she's funny!"
"I'm so over this."

"I'll just blow bubbles."
"Oh yea - I keep forgetting she's funny!"

Good Morning!

So - it's official - I have brainwashed my kid. This morning when he saw Conlee in his room - he jumped up beside her and started saying, "Camera. Cheese. Camera." I faked like I was taking their pic - but that didn't work. He wouldn't stop until I took a picture of them!

Oh What Gorgeous Days!

We've been so blessed with perfect weather over the past two days. Here's how we finished off St. Patty's Day...O.K. - so it looked MUCH worse in person - but I had to document Crawford's accident report from school. He fell face first and busted his lip and his nose. You could see the blood in his nose and his lip was torn open. Apparently he was running downhill and fell face first.

My "trainer" was in action and demanded that we go for a walk after dinner. Is it just me - or do Crawford and Conlee look alike?
Today we headed to the park for a picnic lunch.

How fake is that smile?
Yes - that is a carrot going in his mouth. But upon further inspection - the chipmunk was in full effect and had spit out every bite that he chewed.
Cole and Amanda joined us. The boys made a friend who gave them a popsicle. They loved it.

After he woke up from his nap, I told Crawford the Easter Bunny dropped by and left him a peanut butter egg. From the look of it - you can tell he loved it.
One of our favorite things to do is to cook together. We made "puffins" and cooked dinner this afternoon.

We headed back outside for some golf action. How good is that form?

I stood at the bottom of our yard and he chipped balls to me. I'd toss them back and he'd hit it again.
Conlee was squealing and laughing. Apparently she likes being out of the house!

Crawford's cheeks confirm that it was 82 degrees today.
We went out back to put dinner on the grill and broke out the sidewalk chalk. He liked coloring on himself better than coloring on the patio. How big does she look? Love that face.
We hung the birdhouse that Crawford painted at school. Gotta go get some birdseed for it.
So much for my gorgeous hyacinths - Crawford picked them all.
Dinner al fresco - what a perfect ending to a perfect day.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

I couldn't get Crawford to look at the camera while Conlee had her bow on :)

Our first Monday Home

Since I am now unemployed - we've changed Crawford's school schedule so that he only goes on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We are giving it a few months, hoping that I find a job. If I don't - we'll pull him out for good and I'll officially be a stay-at-homer.
So, today was our first Monday home. Our "lesson" for the day was the color green - for St. Patty's Day of course.
We went to WM and picked out everything that was green (he went bananas over celery). We made green Rice Krispie treats w/ Lucky Charms for the Irish touch. Can you see him eating the Lucky Charms?Funny how they stick to your fingers when you've been eating them!
Green sprinkles make it extra fun.
Never too many.
We colored a shamrock and rainbow - for Daddy of course. I keep wondering when he'll make me something :)
When Bo got home, dinner was in the oven (yes I am officially THE domestic diva - laundry done, dinner cooked, etc.) so we broke out the double jogging stroller for the first time. I absolutely LOVE this stroller. Conlee fit great; Crawford loved the bar; tons of room in cup holders and large bottom basket; and it drives awesome - really light weight. I know we'll spend lots of time at the park in this stroller.
Here's the view while driving. All I could see of Conlee were her feet kicking.
After mowing down a yummy dinner of lemon chicken with green beans and new potatoes - Crawford enjoyed his "treat."

I'll have to say - as anti-stay-at-home as I am (I LOVE to work, it just makes me happy) - I did enjoy myself today and could easily get into the grove of this. That being said - if you've got any leads on jobs in NWA - let me know :)

Spring Cleaning

Not sure what got into Bo, but I like it! This afternoon, the sun decided to shine - so we headed out. Bo got all of the leaves off the patio and cleaned off all of the furniture. He's ready to put the tv up and to spend some long, warm nights outside.
Garon stopped by for a few minutes.

Not sure if I should worry, but Crawford still pushes his wagons - he won't pull them.
