Spring–so soon?

When Amanda and I saw the forecast for today was 73 – we immediately made plans for a picnic at the park.  I’ve definitely spoiled my kids because we had to bring:  soccer gear, full t-ball stuff and both bikes!  We ran into Olivia and Abby so it turned into a full picnic!

Love that the boys get to start t-ball this summer.  From the looks of it – we have some players!

After lunch – the kids decided we needed to take a bike “race” around the park.  Not sure it was much of a race – considering it took us forever just to get to the gazebo   But they had fun trying.

Con fights so hard to catch Crawford.  Spoiler alert:  YES – I realize his helmet is too small and his bike is too.  He’s getting a new one tomorrow for his “real” birthday!

Cole really isn’t a fan of his bike yet.  So he “raced” Con on foot!

It’s Wednesday so that means dance for Con.  Since it was so warm, she got to wear her new tu-tu Santa brought her.  I mean with the leg warmers and ballet bun – does it get any dang cutter?

Saying a prayer tonight that Spring is really here and winter is gone.   But, I do realize we are in NWA – so there is a great chance the weather will for sure be different tomorrow!

More presents already?

Not sure how this is the only pic I got tonight?  But, J-J and Sue-Sue are leaving for a trip later this week – so they will miss Crawford’s “real” birthday.  So, they brought him his gifts tonight.  I guess this really is birthday WEEK for him

President’s Day

Today I was off for President’s Day.  Instead of doing what I should have done (drop the kids at school and come home and worked on my Rhea Lana’s stuff), I kept them home and we did absolutely nothing!  This is how the kids try to convince me they wanted to take their nap.  Umh – that would be a no

As I was unpacking the stuff from the birthday bonanza, I found the board that Crawford broke.  Mr. Felix signed it for him!  Am sure this will make show-n-tell at school soon.

Karate Party: The Fun!

Can you tell someone was excited about his party?  He played ninja outside all morning just waiting for party time.

As the kids arrived, Mr. Felix suited them up.  Crawford got to wear the black belt since he was the birthday boy.

I couldn’t have imagined how much fun they would have drawing on their headbands!  It was the perfect thing to do as we waited on everyone to arrive and get their outfits on!

When Trenton broke it – they all swarmed.

We were supposed to open gifts, but Mr Felix asked if Crawford would rather do a special presentation for his friends.

Crawford was game – Mr Felix had him break a REAL wood board in front of the crowd.

He practiced his technique and then wham – cracked it.

The crowd cheered and I’ve never seen my kid be more proud.  Literally smiling ear to ear!

Good thing we saved the Samurai swords for take home gifts

Crawford and Mr Felix.  If you go there – you MUST request him.  They gave the kids rubber karate bracelets and each kid gets 2 free weeks of lessons.  He was seriously WONDERFUL with the kids.

Both kids were so excited to bust open the presents when we got home.

He got amazing stuff!  They were both in total shock they were so happy.  Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate with us.  Each and every one of you means the world to me that you helped to make my birthday boy’s day so special!
