Christmas/New Year's Morning

Our Christmas/New Year's day was as good as I could have asked for. Crawford loved every thing - and we loved watching him love it. Conlee didn't really "care" but she was too cute in her matching Christmas pj's!
Crawford was amazed by what Santa left him.
The tractor was a huge hit.

My family!

Of all things I would have thought Crawford would love Elmo - but he couldn't have cared less! He knocked him out of the way and only wanted to play with his guitar.

Conlee's doll was her size!

Legs bent means one thing - DANCING.

Don't tell Bo, but I could have spent $14.00 on the guitar at WM and made him happy for a year.

Conlee was way more interested in her nap than she was the Christmas gifts!

Crawford and Lou-Lou.

The Fropper was a big hit.
How cute are their jammies?

"Babe, up please, please, please."
The fetal position -she was so comfy!
Still watching cars, but at least we've lost the red boots.

Back in the swing of things

Bo and I can not believe that it's been 2 weeks since Conlee got sick. We got home Monday - and it's so weird how things just went back to normal. I thought I would never feel this good again. But, my kids are doing great and we've had a BLAST the past few days. Here are a few pics.
Crawford loved helping clean up the Christmas "mess."

Crawford was much happier than he looks. He just kept looking at me and saying "up please" or "lap please" - meaning that he wanted to sit with me and Conlee - priceless!

Cooking dinner with Pops. Crawford was screaming, "fire HOT!". Yes - he still has on his snow boots - he loves them.
I can not put into words how much I love this picture. Conlee started cooing today and it's the best sound ever.

Bella Jack's is very BAD - for my wallet! Babe and I had to accessorize Conlee's outfits with some new bows.

Angel One

Thanks to Courtney for the IT help - I now have the photos off of my phone.
In the ER...

Angel One crew arriving at the ICU.

The guy in the khaki pants is the doctor. The thing in the background is the gurney and "case" they transported Conlee on.

The nurse in front of the monitor with the mask on is my hero. That's Roxanne and she's the one that made the decision to let me fly on the helicopter with them.

Each crew member carries huge backpacks loaded with all of their gear. They are literally prepared for anything.

Before heading home, my mom and Matt watched us take off in the helicopter.

Our Christmas/New Year's Eve

We had our Christmas/New Year's Eve celebration last night. We started the day taking Conlee to the doctor for a check up. Pulsox is still low - but lungs sounded good. She looks so much better!
I wasn't in the holiday "spirit" at all - but as soon as we started cooking and putting together presents (during nap time) - I was singing Christmas carols. We had so much fun - and it just proves that the date on the calendar doesn't mean a thing!
Conlee wore some of the new "duds" she got at the Sip n' See to the doctor.
Crawford made cookies for Santa.
Two cooks in their aprons.

No - this is not a duplicate pic. When I said I wanted to take pics by the tree - Crawford immediately sat down and asked for Conlee. He remembered that we had done that the day we went to brunch with Santa. I will say I am glad he did - because you can see Conlee better in this pic!

Matt and Courtney didn't join us for dinner (they had New Year's plans - hence the dressy attire) but they stopped by for drinks. The McCain family.

Isn't her burp cloth too cute? Thanks Pat & Amy!
Crawford took a bite out of Santa's cookie.
Matt and Court.
A rare pic of Bo and me without kids.
My favorite picture ever! The grandparents with the kids.

My "combo" table. I decided to embrace the mixed holiday theme.

Crawford joined us for the salad course. We put him to bed and then finished dinner.Leaving cookies and milk for Santa. Crawford colored a picture for Santa.
Bo and I staid up until midnight putting everything out. It was so much fun - we had a fire and drank wine while putting toys together.
Look what Santa brought!

Did I mention we had wine? Maybe a bit too much!
Santa loved his cookies.

The Sip and NO See

This seems like a year ago, but on December 21st - my mom and mother-in-law hosted a Sip n' See for Conlee. The party started at 2:00 - and it was at 12:00 that Bo suggested I call the doctor because Conlee wasn't breathing right. At 1:00 we were in the ER and by 3:30 we were diagnosed with RSV and you know the rest of that story. Needless to say - it was so close to party time that there was nothing to do - but let the party go on. So, they had a Sip n' NO See!
I just had to post a few pictures of how beautiful the party looked and all of my wonderful friends. I opened all of the gifts the night we got back from the hospital - and it really was like Christmas. Conlee got such beautiful things.
Thank you to everyone for coming - I hate that we missed it!
Sue brought us some of the left over food to the hospital that night. It was yummy.
When we left for ACH, we left the left over petit fors with the ICU nurses.

They had Kahlua hot chocolate and pink champagne - how festive!

A few things not to forget

I was just looking through pictures from our Christmas/New Year's celebration and found these pics of Crawford and I decorating a gingerbread house. We did this the Sunday morning before we took Conlee to the ER. As you'll see - it wasn't a good start to what turned out to be a very bad day! Let's just say - there was a lot of mess and Crawford and I have no future as pastry chefs.
Crawford enjoyed eating the candy way more than he did decorating. Notice the blue drool on his lip.

He concentrated for about 3 minutes.

Here's where it got bad. Smart as I am I used glass bowls to sort the candy. Bo warned me, but I didn't listen. As soon as Crawford got bored, he took the bowl that had the "ball" candy in it and threw it on the floor. Glass was every where.

After a time-out and clean up, decorating resumed.

The finished master piece.
Crawford wouldn't leave his candy on the house. About 1 minute after this picture he hit the roof and the whole house caved in! So 2 hours later - I threw the whole thing in the trash.
