Go Hogs Go!

I'd forgotten just how much fun a SEC Hog victory can be! At first I was bummed because it was an 11:00 game. But, it worked out great. The sitter was here by 9:40 and we were out the door and at the stadium in plenty of time. Despite the suprisingly cold weather (I wore a sweater and Megan borrowed a wool coat) it turned out to be a gorgeous day. We even played a "faster" game - so there was time to stop by Grub's for an appetizer before relieving the sitter.

Here are the kids dressed and ready to call those Hogs!

Holt loved pulling Crawford in the tractor. Miss Amber said all of the kids did great. With nap times - she only had about 45 min. with all of them awake at the same time. Still, she had a very busy 7 hours.
We cooked dinner at home and had a fire out back. It was a perfect night.

I love the imagination on the kids. The box of crayons were "rockets"!

Wrigley loved all of the action!

We can't wait until we see the Spades again!

Pancake Breakfast

It's a Garmon family tradition to go to the fireman's pancake breakfast each fall. Bo and Joe took the boys while the girls enjoyed a morning in our jammies!

The Spades are Here!

My BFF from college finally got to bring her gorgeous family to visit. They got into town around 6:00. Gracie had a birthday party so she didn't get to make the trip. But, Holt and Stella were pretty excited to be here.

How adorable is Stella's hair. Oh so jealous!

The boys had a blast. I was worried they wouldn't have much in common (Holt is 4) - but they played GREAT together.

Blowing up the "guest" bed! It made a great trampoline.

Movie time before bed!

We've got a big day ahead - headed to watch the Hogs! Babysitter for all 4 kids. Let's all say a small prayer for Miss Amber tonight :)

2 Peas in a Pod

Trying to take pictures around here is like trying to heard cats! They look at you - and then they make a run for it. In this case - they run for the camera!
Makes me laugh how much they look alike.

Jackpot!

If Conlee's not in the kitchen cabinets, you can bet - she's in Crawford's room. Here's where I found her this afternoon. I could hear her laughing as I walked around the corner. I had to quickly re-build the train track before Crawford found it!

Fashion Police

So, I am now officially "that" mom. The mom that forgot it's gotten cold and forgot to take the kids a change of "warm" clothes to daycare. So when I picked them up today, here's what Conlee had on.She got her dress dirty at her morning snack, so she spent the entire day in pink tights, purple shoes, purple diaper cover and a camo shirt. That's right the shirt has camo sleeves and a dump truck on it.

To make matters work, I had to stop by the store on the way home. I put her pink bow in her hair so that people wouldn't call her a boy!

On another note - the pic above is where I find her 90% of the time. Trying to get into the childproof cabinets. She works on it all day!

Fried Ribs

Uncle Matt went to Twist this weekend and when he got back - he brought us "presents" from Babe and Pops. Fried ribs and chocolate chip pound cake. With Bo out of town - it became our dinner :-) Crawford was a HUGE fan.I think the McCain's might be the only people in the world that fry ribs? But let me tell you - they are TO DIE FOR - yummy! I cook them every New Year's Day to go with the black eyed peas. Thanks Pops for the treat (and Babe the cake went over good too!)!

William's 1st Birthday

So the first pic posted has absolutely nothing to do with William's birthday. But, it's just too cute not to post. This was Crawford this morning playing "nap" on his fire truck puzzle. He looked up and said, "I love this Mom. Tank Ou."After an early nap, Crawford, Conlee and I headed to William's 1st Birthday. Bo didn't join us because he left at noon on a business trip :(
You think Conlee had a good time?
Crawford was so excited to see his buddy Hudson. The party was a Carnival theme. So, there was plenty of good "junk" food and a clown that painted faces and did balloons. I was so sad that it rained because Amber had planned a ton of outdoor games and there was a bounce house. But, to tell the truth - the party was so good - you didn't realize we missed a thing!
The gorgeous "big top" cake.
My two chowing down on the treats.
A glitter football -of course!
The big boys started dominating the ball pit.
But it wasn't too long before the "babies" took control again. I still can't get over how big William is! He's only 6 weeks older than Con!
Happy Birthday William (and thanks to his folks for a great party)!

Donuts, Fire trucks and Puzzles

Don't you ever wonder what your husband does with the kids when you aren't around? Well, I decided to skip body pump this morning - so that we could continue with our list of "honey-dos."

Bo took an entire trailer full of old "junk" to the free dump (old tv, computer, etc). The kids helped me change out my closet from summer to fall/winter. Crawford really was very helpful bringing me clothes and hangers. Bo brought Crawford home what I thought was a surprise - donuts! Turns out they go and get them every Saturday morning while I am at the gym! Who knew? Side note: can you see how big Con is smiling? She knows how to turn it on for the camera.
This is how Crawford decided to "dress" himself.
If you break out a camera around here, you better be prepared to be attacked. The kids love to try and get it from me.
Crawford is so excited that we finally got a fire truck puzzle like Cole's. We got it on Friday and have done it at least 20 times to date. He LOVES it.
Speaking of fire trucks, we were all surprised when we were leaving Wal-Mart and saw 2 fire trucks in the Home Depot parking lot. Of course we went to investigate and they were having some sort of "festival." The kids got to get on the trucks, sit in police cars, build cars, get fire hats and eat free hot dogs. What a fun surprise!
After snack time, we dropped the kids at Sue-Sue's and J-J's and Bo and I went to Dickson for about an hour. It might not seem like a lot - but when you are married with 2 kids that are 2 and under - you'll take "date night" whenever you can get it. So yes, beer and spinach dip at Grubs at 4:30 on a Saturday afternoon - does now officially qualify as a "nice" date in my mind!

Of course while watching football - we talked about the kids! We both agreed that Con seems to have grown-up over night. I think it had to be the fact that she had on khakis and tennis shoes today - but see for yourself.
My precious "smiling" girl. The child literally smiles 24/7!

We've had a great day so far. Made progress on our "to-do" list. Had some family fun. Had some fun "grown-up" time. And now it's time to get ready to call those Hogs!!!!

Spaghetti Faces

So what baby doesn't have a picture taken with spaghetti all over them? Of course, Con had to have one too!Wonder what she's looking at and why she's laughing?
She's laughing at this. Crawford NEVER wears a bib anymore. But, what a blessing that he "wanted to be like Conkey." The bib alone will save me $5.00 in Shout and bleach!
