Bob the Builder

Crawford went to his first show at WAC - Bob the Builder. We had such a good time. Out of all of the seats there - our seats were right beside Brooks, Al and Garon! We couldn't believe it.
Crawford wore his "structon" jammies to bed and right after breakfast wanted to wear his hard hat and watch Bob.
Garon decked out in all of his Bob gear.
You think he was excited?
How adorable are the booster seats?
His reaction when Bob came on stage.

The $25 windmill was as big of a hit, if not bigger, than the actual show.
Even on the way home - he wouldn't put it down.
Court and Matt kept Conlee. We can't wait for her to get to go places with us!
Thanks J-J and Sue-Sue for the tickets!

XOXO!

We had a wonderful Valentine's Day. Below are pics of the kids getting their gifts.
Crawford is obsessed with Shrek - so I had to get this card. Of course, probably not the best thing that it "burbs" when you open it - but he loved it :)Both of them got new books and some new spring clothes. Wish the pic of Conlee's bathing suit was better - it's adorable.
So all I wanted were some good family pics. Crawford on the other hand wasn't so accommodating. He couldn't keep his eyes off of Conlee! Now that I look at them - they are perfect the way they are.
I found this on my camera, didn't know Bo took it. Oh how glad I am that he did!

This pic makes me laugh out loud. Crawford has on his "I am so excited" face (notice the way his bottom jaw juts out) and Conlee has on her "I am scared to death" look (it really was the flash that made her do that)!

Valentine's cookies

Conlee, Crawford and I baked Valentine's cookies today. Trust me, between making the cookies, baking them, cleaning up the mess, decorating the cookies and cleaning up yet another mess - it was an all day affair - but well worth it. While we were washing up, he looked at me, smiled and said, "That was fun momma!"
I LIVE for moments like this. The flour on his nose - priceless!

I swear I think he enjoyed sweeping up the mess as much as he enjoyed making the mess.

He had to color while the cookies baked and cooled.
After nap time, it was time to decorate.

I think his mouth and hands might be permanently stained.
Enjoying the fruits of his labor.

The BEST $35 dollar purchase

Turns out Conlee's new toy lives up to it's promise - it's good for ages 0-36 months. I NEVER believe products that make this claim. But this morning Crawford was playing with her new gym and I told him I could make it into an easel for him. Literally 10 seconds later and no tools required, the gym became an easel for him. Quite impressive.
It's Little Tikes 5-in-1 Gym - I got it at WM for $35 bucks.
Conlee enjoying it as a kick toy.
Crawford using it as an easel to color.

NOTE: the red boots are back. We read Gossie last night so of course he woke up, pointed to the armoire where I had "hidden" them and asked for his red boots.

I am proud (and a little embarrassed for Bo and me) to report that today is the second day in a row that my entire house has slept until 6:50!!!! This is how Bo left us when he went to work - in bed watching Mickey. Yes - Crawford is sans shirt due to oatmeal for breakfast.

I've got to get back to work soon! I really could get used to "lounging" in the mornings :)

Happy 3 Month Birthday!

Lots of Love

I never would have thought Valentine's Day would be such a hit around my house. But, with hearts being one of Crawford's favorite shapes (stars and circles are also popular) - we are feeling the love around here.
Conlee got a new toy and Crawford spent all day showing her how to use it. Below he is teaching her where the blue star is. It has the kick plate so when Conlee kicks it - it plays music. Crawford thought this was really funny. "Conkey kick it!"
Absolutely hilarious - she is looking back at him - not at the toy! She watches every move he makes (probably with good reason).

She made it play music, so Crawford thought she deserved a hug. So sweet - but I'll admit my heart still jumps a bit when I see my 23 pound 2 year old on top of my 9 1/2 pound 3 month old.

Oh and don't even ask me about the germs. Before this play session Crawford had been thoroughly sanitized. Immediately following the hugs, Conlee got scrubbed from head to toe. Will I ever be over the obsession????

For project time, we made heart flowers for daddy. I started by asking Crawford if he wanted to color flowers for momma and he said "No, I do it for Daddy." Wow - that kind of stung a bit :)

Is Crawford ambidextrous like Bo? Here we are right handed...
...left handed...
...both handed!
The finished project.

We practiced giving his bouquet to Daddy. He kept saying, "I made it. I made it."

Dinner time.
Don't worry - Bo was just out of camera shot. We NEVER leave her in the Bumbo unattended - especially on the bar.
I don't think seeing this will ever stop making me laugh. She's so little - but so adorable.
