Hog Wild!

Bo and J-J took Crawford to the game tonight. They texted me a few pics. I'll admit, Conlee went to bed a little early and I'm excited to watch a movie on On Demand! I love the divide and conquere every now and then!

Get Well Pops!

For this afternoon's project, we made a get well card for Pops. My dad went in the hospital on Wednesday. He didn't fell well at all when they were here for Conlee's birthday. He went to the doctor when they got home and his levels were through the roof and he is jaundiced. They thought they were going to operate on Wednesday, but they are still running tests trying to figure out if he has a blocked duct?!?! He has no fever and is in no pain - so the doctors are stumped. We are praying that they figure it out soon and he's home in time to gobble up some turkey!
This was one of the first time that Conlee has really participated in a project. I gave her a marker and she went to town. She did a really good job - and she didn't even eat the marker! Progress for sure.If you look closely at her left hand, you'll see that she didn't have the patience to let the glitter glue dry. So we all got in on the fun and smeared it everywhere.
Pops has figured out how to text - so I took a picture and sent it to him! Get well Daddy - we are praying for you!

Baby Yoga Pants

I am so excited, Conlee is finally wearing 12 mth clothes. Well, they are still a bit too big, but the 9 mths are too small. Today she got to wear her new yoga pants. Comfy and adorable. She loved them! She also loves the Little People SUV she got for her birthday. She loves all of Crawford's cars and trucks - so this is perfect. It's a purple SUV that has a mom and a baby in it. When you push a button music plays and Conlee swings her head and dances. Not sure if you can see them - but in the pic below - her top 2 chompers are in plain view. And let me tell you, they are big and they are far apart. Before I "freaked" I pulled out a pic of Crawford a the same age and his looked just like this!
She still prefers crawling to walking. She'll take 3 or 4 steps and then hit her knees and fly!
Love that the bit of diaper is peaking out from the roll of the yoga pant!

Pajama Friday

Today was just one of those mornings where we didn't get out of our pajamas for a long time! Conlee got to eat her oatmeal by herself. Not sure that's the best idea I've ever had. She had a blast and actually ate quite a bit, but the mess!We pulled out the "old" toys that we haven't played with in a while. It's like getting something new. We built a maze with the blocks.
I did have some work to do, so Space Chimps to the rescue. That is Crawford's favorite movie of all time - it's so cute! As you can see, Conlee watches a bit too!A slinky was quickly transformed into a fire hose!
It's mornings like these that make me so thankful that I get to spend a couple of days at home with them. That's right - I'm glad that I get to go to work on Monday. It's the best of both worlds!

Shopping Trip

Today we hit both Target and Wal-Mart. Yes, all in 1 day! I hate the fact that the "big" buggies won't fold down the basket so that you can sit a little one up top and have the big kid ride in the seat. Normally, I've been putting Con in her car seat protector and having her ride sideways. She hates it and I literally have to strap her in. Today I decided to let her ride like a "big" kid next to Crawford. So after wiping down the entire cart with the provided sanitizer wipes - here's what we looked like. They both were so good and had so much fun. Much better than trying to keep Con from jumping out of the top basket! At Target I got so lucky and found the kids their Christmas pj's! I normally order the Hanna Anderson ones - and to say they are pricey is putting it mildly. But, I thought these were adorable. I'm into "matching" things - so I got Conlee the "boy" version too (the girls were blue and pink?). I think once Dale puts their names on them in a cute font - they'll be perfect!

Girl Toys!

Can you tell that Conlee is finally glad to have some girl toys? She loves her doll house and tea set!I wish you could see how cute her outfit is. Wal-Mart - can you believe it? The little pants have ruffles on the pockets. Adorable.

Conlee's 1 Year Checkup

We went to see Dr. Jackson this morning for Conlee's 1 year checkup. She weighed in at 17.1 pounds!!!! She's in the 3rd percentile - which means she's on the growth charts. Yippiee. Bless her heart - you can't turn around in the car seat until you are 20 pounds, so she's going to be reverse facing for a few more months! She's in the 20th for height and 10th for head circumference. He said she looked "perfect" to him and even said she was "precocious" in her gross motor skills and language development!

Despite her size, we got the green light to get off of formula and start whole milk. So, I took her to school and told them to drop the bottle and throw away the paci's! She's also started sleeping on a cot at school. Where did my baby go? So far, so good. She'd downing her sippy and hasn't missed a beat with no paci. I love this child!

Here's a pic of her on her cot at school. How sweet is that? This was taken last Thursday (on her real birthday) so she still has the paci! I brought them all home with me tonight - so we should be "done" with that!

Conlee's 1st Birthday PARTY!!!!

Can you tell by the cake that Conlee turned 1? How amazing is it? I love, love, loved it! Thank you Rick's!

We had Conlee's birthday party this afternoon at our house. I will go ahead and admit that I didn't even get a pic of the birthday girl in her birthday outfit. But, no fear - I had Chris Stinson on the case. So, as soon as the proofs are ready - I'll post them. He did an amazing job at Crawford's party - so I am just dying to see the pics!

The party was a pink dessert buffet - so I had a gazillion pink treats and had everything decked out in pink! Again, I didn't get a picture of the "finished" buffet - but I know Chris did!

Turns out that the "easiest" things to make were the biggest hits - pink and white "marshmallow" pops. Yummy.
A big bowl of strawberry Cheerios for the babies!
You can't really see it in the pic below, but I had a jar for people to write Conlee notes that she'll open on her 18th birthday. Both Bo and I cried our eyes out while we were writing ours. It's hard to express your hopes and dreams on a 2x3 note card! I promise I respected everyone and didn't read what anyone wrote. I'm going to have Bo put them in the safe deposit box so that I don't loose them! They will be priceless.
I didn't even get a pic of the cookie decorating table. That's right - I let the kids decorate sugar cookies that were in the shape of a #1. It was a huge hit.

About the time Conlee was into her cake I remembered that I might want a few pics on my camera (Chris will give me a cd with all of his proofs on it).
Crawford loved it. He was so excited that it was Conlee's birthday party. He showed no signs of jealousy. He was just happy that there were so many people to play with and so many goodies to eat!

All of the kids got in on the gift opening action! You can kind of see Con's outfit below. It's the shirt she wore on her birthday with a gigantic pink tu-tu. She wouldn't wear the extra large bow - so I had to settle for the baby one. She looked adorable!
Conlee wasn't really interested in the presents. She just wanted to play with a bottled water!
Crawford loved his treat bag. Lou-Lou wanted Crawford to have a gift too. He got a Superman shirt that he HAD to go put on.
Here is one shot of Conlee with her bow on. I told you she didn't like it!

The kids with Uncle Matt and Aunt Court.
Love the pic below. Babe & Pops got Conlee her first dollhouse. I love it.

Conlee loves her tea set.
How cute is this? Babe would blow it and Conlee would die laughing.
Words can't describe how much I love this picture.
Crawford had to get in on balloon boxing.
Garon gave Conlee a cool 3 sided toy. She decided to use it as a walker!

After Conlee went to bed, Crawford had to have one more bite of cake!
Thanks to all of our friends and family for helping us celebrate! It was so much fun to have everyone over. Conlee got amazing presents and we are thankful for each and every person in our lives.

I'm already thinking about what to do for her 2nd birthday.
