We went for Conlee's 2 month check up yesterday. The doc said she is doing great! She weighed in at 8 pds 10.5 oz. She was in the 10-20th percentile for her weight and in the 25th for her height. So - as we've known - she is a petite thing - but perfectly proportioned for her size.
She's met all of the developmental milestones for her age - cooing, smiling, holding head up during tummy time, etc. It's so weird for me because she is the "size" of a newborn - but she acts just like a 2 month old. The doctor told us not to treat her as if she was small or a "preemie" because we want her to be just as challenged and receive every opportunity as every other 2 month old.
As for the RSV - he said she sounded as clear as could be! That was great news because he told us he's seen wheezing last for up to 6 months. It's so great to know that she went through such a horrible ordeal, but bounced back from it so quickly.
The "bad" news is that we are still on "house arrest." He advised for us not to take her out at least until she's had her 4 month check (scheduled for March 13). He specifically said - no church socials, no trips to WM, no birthday parties. Basically he told us that we should really limit the number of people who "breathe" on her and try not to let anyone touch her - especially other children. So much for all of the hugs and kisses Crawford wants to give "Conkey" :(
While I am going a bit stir crazy in this house - it is so worth it to keep her safe and healthy. At least I get to stay in touch with all of you through the blog and FB (my new favorite addiction).
Here are a few pics from the exam room...
Can you see the eye lashes on this kid? They are so full and long - her mother is very envious :)
