We are already in a routine – on the beach by 10 am for morning snack. J-J was nice enough to bring a case of Gatorade on the trip. So – blue lips it is
Jocelyn and Babe look like they are feeding baby birds!
Love Con’s pony tail.
I can’t believe it – we took a “decent” family beach pic! That means all 4 people are actually looking and smiling.
We brought the boat out today. Who knew the kids would have as much fun filling it with sand and jumping in it as they did riding waves!
Babe & Uncle Matt must have already walked like 20 miles. Babe loves it!
Con and Sue-Sue playing paddle-ball.
The best treasure chest item by far – the “big” shovels.
Love that you can see the sand flying in the pic below.
More snack for Con!
Baseball on the beach!
Con wanted to go to the pool. Bo took her up, she put her toe in and wanted to go back to the beach. Did I mention it’s a good thing we are close????
Lunch on the beach. These really were “sand”wiches by the time they were done They didn’t mind a bit.
Con found Babe’s hat.
We rotated out pitchers…Jocelyn’s turn!
Babe & Pops were nice enough to take the kids up for nap time. Bo and Matt tried out the boogie boards.
Things took a down turn when I went up to watch the kids so Babe & Pops could go to the pool. Pops wasn’t feeling well and his tube was leaking. A quick call to the doc in Memphis and we found out it was VERY important for him to get the tube replaced ASAP. So – we literally threw their stuff in the car and they left for Memphis! So, so incredibly sad that he made the 10 hour trip only to spend 2 days. They insisted we all stay and that it was a simple procedure that he’d have tomorrow. But, still so sad.
The kids did get up in time to give hugs and say bye-bye. Then with nothing else we could do – we headed back to the beach to continue our routine…afternoon snack on the beach! Are you beginning to see a pattern?
The theme for the afternoon was “building.” This is my favorite time of the day – 5:00.
You may remember that Jocelyn is a professional photographer. Here’s my pic of the crew…
…here’s hers. Amazing!
Since our cook has gone, we decided to go out to eat.
I love the pic of me and Con below. I could eat her up in her watermelon dress!
We started at Cowgirl kitchen – but they were super busy.
So we went across the square to Wild Olives.
Food was AMAZING. It was a nice, easy evening. We all were missing Babe & Pops!
