We started Thanksgiving off with a breakfast feast! We don’t eat the “big” meal till supper – so we have a big brunch to hold us over! Of course the bloody mary’s and screwdrivers added to the party!
The kids wanted to do a project while we watched the parade. Conlee was the pilgrim.
Crawford was the Indian.
Uncle Matt and Scoobs getting some rest time.
We put the last leaf on our thankful wreath. Have to remember to do this next year!
Scoobs basically just rotated out people from the nap chair!
The kids then donned the Captain Hook and Tinker Bell costumes and enjoyed the parade. Power Rangers had to be played over and over.
We were blessed with such amazing weather. Who would have thought we wouldn’t need coats on Thanksgiving? Perfect turkey frying weather!
We played a ton of basketball.
Scoobs and Pops liked sunbathing!
What do you get when you drop a marinated turkey into that tub of hot grease?
Turkey perfection.
The kids drew a big farm and worked all morning on it.
After a much needed nap time for all of us – we put on our “good” clothes and headed for the second feast of the day!
Look at our gorgeous table!
Pops carved the meat! I think we had 32 pounds between the 2 turkeys and the ham!
So thankful for the picture below! 2 years ago on Thanksgiving we found out Dad had cancer. What a miracle he is!
The kids got their dance on when Pitt Bull performed at the football game.
We of course had to play football. It wouldn’t be Thanksgiving without it.
Conlee even got into the game!
The kids were a little aggressive with each other and there were a few grass stains involved – but they had a blast!
Our 14 dish Thanksgiving! Yummy.
Con was way more interested in the dessert table.
We came home and put on our pj’s. We snuggled up and watched the Ice Age Christmas movies. I’m such a kid at heart – I LOVE Christmas movies.
It’s true what they say – this is the most wonderful time of the year!
So thankful for my family and friends. Truly blessed this Thanksgiving.
