Ho!Ho!Ho!

Tonight was just a fun Sunday night at home with the kids.

We are watching the AMA’s and Crawford felt inspired to break out the guitar and join in on the jams.

Bo and I got wrapped up in other stuff and then started realizing the kids were playing a “game.”  “Christmas Eve” was in full effect.

Crawford was Santa (pillow for his bag).

Con was the little girl “snuggled up snug as a bug in her bed.”

I caught the sweetest moment on camera.  Crawford (oh I mean Santa) was checking in on the little girl before he left the presents for her and her brother.  He gently patted her cheek.  Adorable.

Santa then pulled out a ton of toys and placed them under the tree.

Next, Santa looses his hat and magically transforms into Crawford (aka the big brother!).  They ran to the living room to see what Santa left for them.

This was a much needed eye opener for me as we head into the holiday season.  The kids honestly were so excited to see what Santa left them.  They didn’t “care” that they were toys they’ve had.  It was honestly about the excitement of the day and giving (and receiving).  Note to self – do NOT go overboard with gifts.  There is no need.  No amount of gifts or toys will bring them as much joy as they have just playing together.

Love these two to pieces.
