It’s funny to me that even the kids seem to know it’s spring and things are about to be a lot of fun. Crawford got a bubble rocket for his birthday and I’ve been telling him we’d open it when it got warm. We went to church this morning and I told him he didn’t need a jacket because it was warm. He replied, “Yea! We get to open my bubble rocket.” So after nap – we broke out the bubble rocket for blast off!
The kids loved it because as it “flies” the bubbles go everywhere. The hardest part was trying to keep Conlee from stealing the rocket!
Speaking of Conlee, she’s such a mess these days! Bless her heart she runs everywhere she goes and is into everything. Yesterday she tripped and fell into the doorframe, which left a bruise on her forehead (under the scar where she had stitches). Today she fell on the concrete and took the skin off her nose.
Look at my little bruiser! She looks like she’s making a “mean” face but she is actually smiling and saying “cheese.”
When we went to visit Lu-Lu, Crawford got a surprise. Bunky had found Pappy’s fire hat from when he was a fireman. Crawford of course added this to his growing dress-up collection. I love that he’ll have something of Pappy’s. It’s funny because Crawford didn’t get the chance to know Pappy, but we talk about him so much that he talks like he knows/knew him!
