Putt-Putt (at home!)

We had a no-nonsense morning.  Gym; Wal-Mart; gas; play; lunch; nap.  But at 3:00 – Crawford went to see Mrs. Crystal and you know what that means…a trip to Bliss.  $6.75 for 2 cupcakes is a bit ridiculous – but they are so good.  Funny thing was that little bit (who needs to gain weight) chose the zero calorie strawberry angel food cupcake :)  Crawford of course went chocolate milkshake!

When we got home – Crawford wanted to play putt-putt.  So we made our own course.  It really was fun and the kids and I brainstormed together to come up with the holes.

We used empty Sprite Zero cases for holes!  They loved coloring them while I got the rest of the materials together.

Fourth of July flags became our “tee flags” and we were set!  We used bricks, terracotta pots, buckets, lawn furniture, sprinklers and swim rings to round out the course.  It’s so funny that kids really have no “preconceived” expectations.  I thought he’d be complaining because he wanted to go play real putt-putt like in Branson.  But, he didn’t at all.  He thought our course was amazing!

Con kept “messing” up the holes – so she went to play in the sand trap.  The best hole was hitting it off the top of the slide and down into the bucket.  Crawford hit a hole in one!

Amanda, Cole and Cade came by to bring the scale to weigh Con.  For the first time I really saw how much fun the 4 of these kids are going to have together.  Conlee was right in the middle of everything Crawford and Cole did.  And, Cade wasn’t far behind crawling (fast) behind them!

Yes, there’s 8 months difference between these two!  Good news is that Cade was a huge fan of Wrigley (Cole still not a big fan – but he put up with him).  Love that Wrigs kept stealing Cade’s sugars!

Con turned 20 months on Monday and today she tipped the scales at 19 pounds and 11 1/2 ounces!!!!!!  I know that doesn’t seem like much – but what that means to me is that by the time we leave for Florida (2 1/2 weeks) she’ll be able to turn around in the car seat!  She’ll have a much more enjoyable ride.

Excuse Crawford’s closed eyes – but I had to post.  This is the kids lining up before bed to see who’s the tallest!  Got a funny feeling this is a game Con will never win :)
